Welcome to digital age of apparel printing.
It's exactly what happens with paper in an inkjet printer. Plus, it's ON DEMAND. If you can imagine it, we can print it for you — full color printing from your computer files directly onto t-shirts sweatshirts, towels and more. Unlike screen printing, digital means no set-up charges and no minimums. No limits to the type or brand of apparel. No more heat transfers that crack after a few washings. AND, far more flexibility as to WHERE the design is placed. How about printing inside the hood? Or around the back?
We've got 2 capabilities — for white/light shirts AND colored/dark shirts — and that gives you unlimited printing options.
Brother GT-541 & GT-361 Printing: (for white / light colored shirts)
Digital printing on white and light apparel with the Brother GT-541 & GT-361 creates vibrant colors without any decal feel (like you used to get with a heat transfer). Instead, digital printing bonds the inks directly INTO the fabric to create prints that last for a long time without little to no fading. Because the inks are transparent and water-based, the prints are soft and feel like part of the fabric. BUT, Brother does NOT print white ink. If your artwork features white, then your shirts will be printed on the Kornit. Check out these samples. See our portfolio for more.
Kornit Breeze 921 printing: (for any color fabric)
Digital printing with the Kornit Breeze opens the door to any color fabric and any color ink. The process is similar to the Brother GT-541 and now includes white ink. This is especially useful for full-color prints or photos on dark-colored fabric. With the Kornit, the feel is similar to a traditional screenprint. Depending on your artwork, we'll start with a white under base and then pass the shirts through the Kornit a second time for color. (This maximizes the pop of your artwork. It adds $1.50 to the printing cost per print.) Check out these shirts, see our portfolio for more!
QRST's has been printing t-shirts on demand (direct to garment) with the most advanced digital equipment for over 6 years. We pioneered the technology in New England and we will continue to lead as new technology makes for more exciting printing options for our clients.
What can be digitally printed?
Virtually any garment that can be screenprinted can also be digitally printed. Results are dazzling.
Printing — HOW BIG IS BIG?
The standard print size for digital printing is 8.5 x 11", oriented horizontally or vertically. To print larger — up to 13.5 x 15.5" for light colored shirts — add $1.50 per shirt. Up to 13.5 x 17.5" for dark colored shirts, add $2 per shirt.
Not to worry! We have some of the best deals in town.
Unlike screenprinting, for which the price scales according to the number of colors, the price-per-shirt for digital printing stays the same for any number of colors. Plus, there are no screen charges. This means you can order as little or as much as you want without set-up fees.
